"Israel: Determined to Destroy the World

by The Old Codger

www.opednews.com

Throughout the world, Israel’s invasion of Gaza was inappropriate and “over the top,” except in America and Israel. The world has typically been at odds with America over Israel. Only one US President has ever “stood up” to Israel, and that was President Dwight D. Eisenhower when he threatened dire consequences to Israel if it did not withdraw from Gaza in 1956.

Since Eisenhower, all subsequent administrations have been sympathetic and supportive with all that Israel does at the very least. The apex of full approval of Israel was on June 8, 1967 when Israel bombed the USS Liberty killing 34 sailors, There is scant evidence that the Obama administration will be any different in general. This is especially true when the long running disputes between Iran and Israel are factored in.

In a Nut Shell

Israel has been emboldened by its recent invasion of Gaza and is totally oblivious to the sentiments of the rest of the world. Most Americans, particularly those on the right, which includes virtually all born again Christians and Evangelical Christians fully supported the invasion with the rationalization that Israel has the divine right to defend itself. Little consideration is given to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in general.

Both Israel and Hamas are claiming victory as a result of the latest invasion. The claim of victory by Hamas can be easily discounted as arrogance and bravado. They took a ‘licking, but keep on ticking’ as it is quite easy to find new recruits in an area hit by poverty, and little hope for a future. The reality is that even though Hamas is calling for the destruction of Israel, it is poorly positioned to do much more than inflict minor damages on Israel when compared to the damages that Israel has inflicted on Hamas and Gaza.

Israel, in claiming victory over Hamas, is also claiming that it has sent a clear and strong message to Iran, which is also calling for the decimation of Israel. Once again, Israel invokes rhetoric that it has the right to defend itself against its enemies and those who wish to destroy the country. Whether Iran poses a clear and serious threat to Israel is specifically unknown. What is known is that Iran is creating a nuclear program, presumably for peaceful purposes and that it is a significant importer of Russian arms. It is also actively engaged in developing its own weapons.

Israel has a decades long history of making preemptive strikes against any country it views as a threat. Even though Israel claims it is abandoning its preemptive strike policy in favor of developing a missile defense shield, it has yet to discard that tactic. Since 2005, Israel has been actively promoting, and attempting to engage the United States into making a preemptive strike against Iran’s nuclear reactors. Conversely, Iran advocates making a preemptive strike against Israel. There can be little doubt, given Israel’s history, that they are serious. Whether Iran is serious in its threats is an unknown. No one knows what Iran’s capabilities are.

A Preemptive Strike On Iran

A preemptive strike on Iran is possible by either Israel or the United States acting individually or in concert with each other. The possibilities are greater that it will be initiated by Israel given that America is still stinging from the faulty and unreliable information that Israel provided concerning WMDs in Iraq. Whether Israel’s intelligence was deliberately falsified so that the ends would justify the means is unknown. The only known factor is that Israel wanted Saddam gone, which would give it the motivation to falsify intelligence or even manufacture it.

America has expressed a great desire, along with the rest of the world, with the exception of China and Russia, to ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon. Russia in particular would be well served by such possession. China would not see any benefits or lack of benefits, but continually refuses to become involved in it trading partner’s affairs.

Had the Republicans remained in power, it is extremely likely that an attack on Iran by America, either directly or by supporting Israel, would have been extremely likely. Whether such an attack is likely by the new Obama administration is an unknown. What is also unknown is what, if any, control the new administration will be able to exert over Israel. Given the possible new heads of state in Israel in February, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to exert any control over Israel.

Israel chose to attack Hamas at the end of the Bush administration because it knew Bush would be supportive and also to test the waters with the soon to be Obama administration. Hence, they inflicted as much damage as possible but made sure that they withdrew from Gaza just hours before Obama was sworn into office. Obama, by not taking a position on the attacks prior to becoming president, presented an unknown for Israel. Rest assured the waters will be tested. America’s response to any UN reports will be one test that Israel will pay attention to.

Regardless of America’s responses, the odds are in Israel’s favor that America will come to its defense. It has long been America’s policy to come to the defense of Israel regardless of blame that could and can be attributed to Israel. Hence, it is not a question of if Israel attacks Iran, but when.

The Road To Armageddon

The road to Armageddon is not paved with good intentions. Despite Israel’s attempts to convince the world that whatever it does is in self defense, in the absence of any concrete knowledge, those claims are suspect. Israel’s foreign policy verges on paranoia: Any one who does not agree with it is anti-Semitic, and thus committed to seeing the destruction of Israel. Therefore, it has plenty of real as well as imagined enemies throughout the world.

Given Obama’s plans to withdraw American troops, a move that is being welcomed by Iraq, Israel knows that it will need to move quickly to ensure that America can readily come to its defense. Once the American troops and equipment have largely departed Iraq, Israel will become vulnerable. With American troops in Iraq, Iran will have a viable and reachable target in theory, thus protecting Israel from imminent destruction. Hence, Israel will, without a doubt, drop bombs on Iran before that happens regardless of America’s verbal commitment to back them up. They will, if necessary, rely on history. Hence, it is not a question of if Israel invades Iran, it is only a question of when.

When Israel attacks Iran, all hell will begin to break loose in the region. Would-be terrorists will have numerous ideological reasons to target Israel and its primary supporter, America. Given Israel’s vindictive nature, and propensity to inflict the most damage possible, it will likely bomb Iran’s oil fields. Whether or not that happens, there is little doubt that Iran’s oil exports would suffer for a period of time.

Both China and India are highly reliant on Iranian oil and gas. Prior to the economic downturn, Iran was exporting over 350,000 barrels a day to China. If the oil flow is disrupted, it will over time, impact China’s already struggling economy. This could negatively impact China’s continued investments in America, which is highly reliant on that money.

It is a foregone conclusion if Iran decides to respond to an attack by Israel that the United States will get involved. This too could place China in an untenable position with Iran given their close ties. China recently signed a $1.7 billion contract with Iran to assist in developing its oil fields, much to the chagrin of the United States. China, by its nature, would do everything possible to avoid being in the middle between American and Iran, but it would be impacted none the less.

America cannot afford a war in Iran. China cannot afford to cut off its funding to America. However, if push came to shove, China would abandon America in favor of its own people. The impact on America would be significant, and potentially devastating.

Iran is not an isolated country, despite all efforts by America to isolate it. It has oil and gas contracts with China, Japan, India and Pakistan. It also has a contract to develop off-shore oil fields with Venezuela. Russia also has close ties with Iran as well as Venezuela. Other than Japan, none of these countries have what could be described as a “smooth relationship” with the United States.

Many scenarios can be extrapolated. Short of Iran just licking its wounds, which isn’t likely, each scenario can play out into one disaster or another. The financial ramifications during a global recession would probably be the worst, but those could lead to uprisings and more terrorist activities.

A Partial Solution

It is extremely doubtful that Israel would think of the ramifications of its actions. It places itself first in everything that it does, without any regard for the impact their actions have on any one else. Given fragile world economies today, the impact of anything that it does will be felt around the world.

Israel cannot be relied on to act responsibly. If any country has any chance of bringing about responsible actions by Israel it is the United States, but it will not be easy.

Israel needs to take the first steps to bringing about peace in the region. It needs to open the borders to the Gaza Strip and allow humanitarian aid through unobstructed. It also needs to retreat to the pre-1967 boarders without exception. At the same time, it needs to open up its nuclear program to inspections by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and give a full and complete disclosure.

Doing those things will be the first step towards opening up dialogue with others in the region. Peace in that region cannot be achieved if one country is holding all the “cards” and demanding that other countries have no or inferior cards.

There is little doubt that Israel will resist all of these suggestions or requirements and not acquiesce to anything. This is problematic for not only the United States but also the rest of the world. The fact of the matter is that Israel wants peace only on its terms, and to the detriment of those it is warring with.

Until Israel is contained within its borders, it will continue to pose a threat to not only the region, but the world. So far, the rhetoric from the Obama administration has been that it will continue to cater to the whims of Israel. Peace will never be obtained in that manner. Israel will thus be subjected to continued threats of annihilation, which will only serve to further exacerbate an already volatile situation.

I Have a Dream Today

  • Dec. 21st, 2008 at 4:36 AM
"Open Letter to the Villains of the World

Att - Messrs. Vladimir Putin, Hu Jintao, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, Hassan Nasrallah, Fidel Castro, et al,

Dear Sirs,

The Western bloc-media has declared you the villains of the world. You know as well as I do that none of you, nor your countries, nor your people, will ever get a break in the Western media. The entire media sings from the same song-sheet with a simple message. Each of you is a variation of Orwell's Emmanuel Goldstein. Collectively you are those whom we must hate.

To be honest, I don't know where your heads are at precisely. But I'm assuming that you understand how the world works. I'm assuming that you're perfectly aware that the Reserve Banks of the world are privately owned and what this means. Tie this power to the undeniable bloc nature of the media and its refusal to acknowledge this power, and it's no great feat of logic to arrive at the conclusion that the media is, in essence, a machine to cloud our minds to the nature of our subjugation.

Effectively we all participate in a mad charade, an idiotic drunken parlour game, wherein the perpetual topic-du-jour is that old chestnut 'What's to be done?' To obey the rules of the game we must discuss this topic in every way possible but we must never mention the chief protagonists, which is to say, international banking. The entire perverse system of monetary policy, and control of the means of exchange, must be dealt with, not as a human contrivance subject to alteration, but as an act of God that may not be questioned.

I notice that you all play within the parlour game rules. And some of you do quite well occasionally. Mr Putin has had some interesting footage showing him staring down a tiger and displaying his martial arts ability. Hats off. But between these minor efforts (which, trust me, the media did its best to spin as vaguely comedic, or undignified, or otherwise as 'not quite the thing') and, say, the watertight depiction of Russia as the ogre of Ossetia, it's small potatoes. But all of you receive the same thing.

In China, never mind the tirelessness of Hu Jintao throwing himself amongst the people struck homeless in that earthquake, nor the millions of servicemen and women he then mobilised into a fearless hands-on disaster relief (which the American government could watch as a 'How to' if the welfare of their citizens was worth tuppence to them), the Western media barely batted an eyelid. Besides, their reporters were far too busy looking for Chinese citizens unhappy with their government. And they found them, sure enough, one after another. (Well, shit, eh? Like this is difficult - Pick a country, any country). With this as the perpetual template, unsurprisingly we in the West will only ever know of the Chinese as villains. And when the bankers move against China (à la David Sassoon and his opium wars) we in the deluded West will righteously cheer its destruction. And geez, you can hardly blame us - all we know is what we are told.

Perhaps you have your fingers crossed. Just like Tariq Aziz. He was the Iraqi Foreign Minister in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. It didn't matter how much he kowtowed and did as he was ordered (always scrupulously obeying the rules of the parlour game). His handing over of the complete 40,000 pages detailing the weapons programme and allowing the CIA-infested weapons inspectors to wander all over his sovereign nation was never going to make a lick of difference to Iraq's inevitable bombing. And that's the lot of anyone who plays within the rules of the parlour game. You will always be on the back foot. It's not your game and if you stay within it, you will lose. And lose big. Destruction-of-your-nation big. I'm sure you get it.

In any conflict, whoever follows the agenda set by their opponent will always be on the back foot, always reduced to defensive tactics. It stands to reason. The only way to 'win' (exactly the wrong word but let's carry on) is to seize the initiative. And the only way to do this is to Call The Game. The game isn't hidden from public view for no reason. Nor does its veiled nature add some minor degree of utility to the whole caper. This veil of delusion is the single crucial function by which the enterprise succeeds or fails. Pull away that veil and start a global public discussion on the true nature of reserve banking (and the role the media plays as its handmaiden) and the bankers (and their media monkeys) will be forced into unfamiliar territory. I expect that even wrongfooted like this they will still be formidable opponents. But at least you'll have them on the back foot.

So. Rather than stand in front of the UN and call George Bush the devil, or mouth generalities about peace amongst men of good will, why not call the game? I'm not going to say that this is easy. Packing the history of international banking and control of the world's money supply into fifteen minutes is no easy task. But it can be done. Hell, if you want a hand, for an absurdly modest fee I'm your man. The comment section is below, and world leaders are perfectly welcome, ha ha.

But forget me, I'm nobody. This will be your gig. In English 'your' can be singular and plural. Take it here as the plural. Acting in concert will be vital. Each of you must reinforce the others and put out a consistent, coordinated and coherent message. And the beauty of it is that all you will have to do is: tell the truth; not waste time on red-herrings; and stick to your guns. The last part of this will not be easy. God knows that in this bullshit world there's nothing braver than the man who tells the truth. And we all know how powerful those who control the money supply are. They whacked Kennedy and got away with it. And they can whack you too. But only if you're a singleton. Act in concert and the possibility of your silencing becomes ever more unlikely.

But if you stay silent, stay isolated, one way or another they're going to whack you anyway. You and your whole nation. The bloc-media hasn't invested all this time and capitol painting each of you as the enemy for nothing. They don't do this lightly. They do this because they are the part of the machine that is going to destroy you. How about this - the media is the laser that paints the target so that the bomb knows where to go. The bomb is us, sure enough. Make no mistake, you are lit up by that laser.

Forget living in the shadows. The media-laser loves it there. The media doesn't just light things up, they actually render in the shadow also. In fact, this rendering of shadow is their primary purpose. If anything they're better at that than casting light. The only strategy for dealing with this mastery of darkness is to flood the whole place with the broad daylight of truth.

It's easy and it's hard. But the time is now, you're the men for the job, and no job was more worth doing. You know this is true.

I have a dream. I dream that you're not the servants of the bankers. I dream that you're possessed of intellect, of free will, and of big balls. I dream that you're men whose place in history will be that reserved for those who usher in an era. An era free from delusion. An era of peace and prosperity. A second Enlightenment, perhaps. It's not impossible. And all things being equal, why wouldn't you pick this dream? Who but a slave would follow someone else's dream of warfare, starvation, misery and suffering? Are you not masters of which dreams you choose? If you are serious, bold, act in concert, and stay true, this false dream is yours to smash. You will be your own masters and earn the thanks of a world freed of delusion and subjugation. That's my dream. What's yours?

"10 false flags operations that shaped our world

06 March 2007

-
From Nero to 9/11, via Pearl Harbour and the Gulf of Tonkin incident... Joe Crubaugh provides an "all time greatest hits" of false flag operations, whereby one scenario is repeated... as the world keeps falling for the same lie.

The most commonly known false flag operations consist of a government agency staging a terror attack, whereby an uninvolved entity gets blamed for the carnage. As at least two millennia have proven, false flag operations, with healthy doses of propaganda and ignorance, provided a great recipe for endless war.

In "War is a Racket", Two-time Medal of Honor recipient Major General Smedley Butler wrote: "I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested."

You may not have heard of these operations, but perhaps you have heard of these?

"Report: U.S. Soldiers Did 'Dirty Work' for Chinese Interrogators"

"by JUSTIN ROOD

May 20, 2008—

"U.S. military personnel at Guantanamo Bay allegedly softened up detainees at the request of Chinese intelligence officials who had come to the island facility to interrogate the men -- or they allowed the Chinese to dole out the treatment themselves, according to claims in a new government report.

Buried in a Department of Justice report released Tuesday are new allegations about a 2002 arrangement between the United States and China, which allowed Chinese intelligence to visit Guantanamo and interrogate Chinese Uighurs held there.

According to the report by Justice Department Inspector General Glenn Fine, an FBI agent reported a detainee belonging to China's ethnic Uighur minority and a Uighur translator told him Uighur detainees were kept awake for long periods, deprived of food and forced to endure cold for hours on end, just prior to questioning by Chinese interrogators.

Susan Manning, a lawyer who represents several Uighurs still held at Guantanamo, said Tuesday the allegations are all too familiar.

U.S. personnel "are engaging in abusive tactics on behalf of the Chinese," she said Tuesday. When Uighur detainees refused to talk to Chinese interrogators in 2002, U.S. military personnel put them in solitary confinement as punishment, she said.

"Why are we doing China's dirty work?" Manning said. "Surely we're better than that."

Ummm, actually no. Not on torture, and not on natural disasters, either!

You PROUD NOW, shit-eating 'murkns?

An official authorized to speak on behalf of the Defense Department but who declined to be named confirmed it was Pentagon policy to allow officials from other countries to have access to interview their nationals at Guantanamo but declined to discuss the specifics alleged in the report.

According to Fine's report, the FBI agent said the Uighur detainee told him that the night before his interrogation by Chinese officials, "he was awakened at 15-minute intervals the entire night and into the next day." The detainee also allegedly said he was "exposed to low room temperatures for long periods of time and was deprived of at least one meal."

"The agent stated that he understood that the treatment of the Uighur detainees was either carried out by the Chinese interrogators or was carried out by U.S. personnel at the behest of Chinese interrogators," the report by the Department of Justice inspector general stated.

We render prisoners to Syria and Egypt to be tortured -- and China renders theirs to us, huh?

U.S. forces captured roughly three dozen Uighurs in eastern Afghanistan shortly after invading the country in October 2001. The men said they were working there to earn money for families back home and to evade the Chinese government, which is known for taking a harsh and uncompromising line with separatist Uighurs.

So AmeriKa is WORSE than China, aren't we?

The U.S. State Department has found China to have suppressed the religious freedom of Uighurs, who are Muslim, and has accused the Chinese government of persecuting, even executing, those who advocate Uighur independence.

Oooooh, they are MUSLIM!! That EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!!!

You know, I never want to hear the "china is an enemy" crap then, huh?

In 2006, after the United States released five Uighurs from Guantanamo, China asked for them to be repatriated so they could be prosecuted as terrorists. The United States declined to do so, out of concern they would not be treated humanely.

Yeah, we give out fun rides like waterboarding and stuff like that!!!

Instead they transferred the men to Albania, which was the only country out of 90 approached by the U.S. government who would take them.

The Pentagon says it is trying to release and resettle the majority of the 17 Uighurs who remain in Guantanamo, although it says it still considers them enemy combatants and a threat."

Pffffft!!

I'm SICK of the fucking "TERRORIST" LIE, readers, I REALLY AM!!!!

Why I Should Have Become a Teacher

"N.E. colleges see profit in China's multitudes; Tap into market for online learning" by Tracy Jan, Globe Staff | November 25, 2008

Is it just me, or does anyone else see something wrong with turning SCHOOL into a PROFIT-MAKING ENDEAVOR??

No wonder they don't want to fund our schools and kids: they destroyed the economy and WE CAN'T PAY!

How much shit can the American people stomach before puking?

BEIJING - ....

Local academicians, playing on New England's reputation as the nexus of American higher education, are carving out a new tuition stream by establishing foreign outposts and marketing their brands - Lasell, Northeastern, Babson, Clark, Cambridge College - in money-making ventures across China.

They're trying to cement partnerships with Chinese universities to grant American degrees with little time, if any, spent in the United States. In addition to recruiting Chinese students to their faraway campuses, some are putting together highly profitable online courses that Chinese students can take in their own homes.

All with one key requirement for prospective students: "As long as they can pay," said Michael Alexander, president of Lasell College in Newton, who made his first exploratory trip to China last month. "Hopefully," he said, "they pay the full freight."

In the calculus of American educators, virtually everyone in China can benefit from their involvement. Parents in the burgeoning middle class can take pride in sending their children to New England for college.

While AMERICANS have to FORGO such things!!! And you wonder why I curse here, huh?

Students who didn't score high enough on a national college entrance exam to earn a spot in a Chinese university can take solace in an American education.

While American kids are dumbed-down and fed full of psychotropic drugs!!!

Chinese universities, under pressure to serve more students, can partner with American schools to offer new degrees and academic programs, even profiting themselves from the affiliations....

Yup, the ONLY ONES NOT PROFITING from all of this are the AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!

Hey, in Gitmo it is forever.

I'm going to stop it right there because I am tired of the enemy-creating agenda-pushing. When they start out lying right from the start...

That's not to say I'm in favor of the repressive Burmese generals, either. It's a perfect example of how all governments truly suck! They have been and will forever be nothing but instruments of oppression for the string-pullers of societies!

Having said that, I guess the Burmese generals don't cooperate to well with CIA in their country. What are they doing, being a pain in the ass running the drugs? Is that why the MSM pushes that particular agenda?

Related: Democratic Imperialism": Tibet, China, and the National Endowment for Democracy

Which is a PERFECT LEAD into our next story:

DHARAMSALA, India - China has further tightened control in its ethnic Tibetan region in recent weeks, exile groups say, even as it was ostensibly negotiating in good faith with the Dalai Lama's envoys.

Yeah, too bad the guy is a CIA asset. That explains why the college loved the guy, and he overwhelmingly positive coverage that guy gets in the AmeriKan MSM! It doesn't please me to type this, readers, that the DL is a fraud!! What it is is painful, as another of life's beliefs is shattered!

Stepped-up patrols and increased paramilitary presence in Lhasa, the regional capital, and along major transport arteries coincide with a strategy meeting attended by exiles in northern India this week, members of exile groups say.... The group said a source inside China this week reported seeing three convoys of as many as 15 Chinese military vehicles west of the town of Kangding in Sichuan province, an area of significant unrest, along with roadblocks, bunkers, and armed forces around bridges and government buildings....

It could be true, it might not be. I don't know what to think of a biased source in a biased paper.

More than 500 delegates from around the world have descended on Dharamsala, a mountain village near the Chinese border, home of the self-declared Tibetan government in exile, for six days of meetings on Tibet's future....

One of the biggest challenges for the exile community is communicating with the 6 million Tibetans in their homeland, given Chinese restrictions on information and travel.

All I can help thinking is what we go through here at the airports in AmeriKa and the "information" we get from the lying, agenda-pushing, war-promoting, Zionist-controlled AmeriKan MSM! Pfffftttt!!!

China seized control of Tibet in 1951, and since the government has invested billions of dollars in roads, schools and other infrastructure, but it has fallen short in winning over hearts and minds.

You CAN'T WIN HEARTS and MINDS when you are OPPRESSING PEOPLE!!!

You would THINK the U.S. WOULD LEARN, no?

Beijing is bracing for the 50th anniversary of its March 1959 crackdown that saw the Dalai Lama flee to India.

China's Spies

I saw this report on Lou Dobbs this morning, and I instantly recognized it for what it is! Ever notice how the "independent" controlled-opposition of Lou Dobbs always has a bug up his ass (like the enemy-creating, Zionist AmeriKan MSM) for China while IGNORING the Israeli spy ring?

"US panel warns of espionage by China" by Foster Klug, Associated Press | November 21, 2008

WASHINGTON - China has stepped up computer espionage attacks on the US government, defense contractors, and American businesses, a congressional advisory panel said yesterday.

The US-China Economic and Security Review Commission also said in its annual report to lawmakers that aggressive Chinese space programs are allowing Beijing to target US military computers more effectively.

Nothing about Israel and their spy ring, huh?

"China is stealing vast amounts of sensitive information from US computer networks," said Larry Wortzel, chairman of the commission set up by Congress in 2000 to advise, investigate and report on US-China affairs.

Do they have a commission investigating ISRAEL'S SPYING on America?

The commission of six Democrats and six Republicans said in the unanimously approved report that China's massive military modernization and its "impressive but disturbing" space and computer warfare capabilities "suggest China is intent on expanding its sphere of control even at the expense of its Asian neighbors and the United States."

That could very well describe the policies and attitudes of ISRAEL, too, could it not? In fact, it is probaly MORE APPLICABLE to the jews-only state as it is!!!!

The commission recommended that lawmakers provide money for US government programs that would monitor and protect computer networks.

More $$$ based on false tyranny thrown away !!!

Messages left with the Chinese Embassy in Washington were not immediately returned. Officials in Beijing have responded to past reports by saying China does not try to undermine other countries' interests and seeks healthy ties with the United States. --more--"

BEIJING - Civil unrest stemming from economic concerns flared in southwestern China yesterday as several hundred taxi drivers in Chongqing went on strike over a government plan to put more cabs on their district's roads. Leaders have also expressed concern about factory closings, promising to compensate many of those who have lost their jobs in the downturn. Wang Jinli, a 50-year-old Wudu farmer, said she saw police beat residents in front of the Longnan party secretary's offices Monday and Tuesday, then watched as ambulances took the injured away.

"They used their sticks to beat passersby no matter whether they were young or old," Wang said, adding that more than 100 people were arrested. --more--"

You know, maybe China is a little more free than the agenda-pushing, enemy-creating, world-distorting, war-promoting, Zionist MSM likes to portray, huh?  I come across stories like this and it is at such odds with what we are told on a daily basis by the lying "news" media  -- and I HAVE HAD IT with them and their DAMN LYING!!!!

"Government decision stirs riots in northwest China; Job losses feared amid moving of local headquarters" by Andrew Jacobs, New York Times News Service  |  November 19, 2008

BEIJING - A local government's decision to move its administrative headquarters from one city to another has provoked two days of unrest in northwest China, according to state media and witnesses, who said protestors had burned police cars and looted government offices in Longnan, a prefectural capital in southern Gansu province.

You know, the MSM makes you think it is a perpetually locked down society.  WTF?!

A local newspaper and Xinhua, the official news agency, said the skirmishes began on Monday and involved 2,000 people. Witnesses reached by phone, however, said the crowds had swelled to more than 10,000, many of whom were still battling the police last night.

How can that be in such an authoritarian state?

Although the state media did not explain the source of the unrest, local residents said many of the protesters were motivated by the government's decision to transfer its offices to another city. The move, residents said, would deprive Longnan of desperately needed jobs and spur a drop in real estate values

Compare the Chinese with U.S. citizens.  They get all riled up about jobs and homes; we sit on our asses here and watch tv!

Riots are not uncommon in China, but as the economy slows, the government is acutely sensitive to unrest. Many disturbances are prompted by grievances over illegal land seizures or the malfeasance of abusive officials

Excuse me?  Riots not uncommon?  And why would a totalitarian state care what people think?  Unless.... sigh!

Last week, a skirmish involving thousands of people flared up in the southern city of Shenzhen following the death of a motorcyclist who crashed after being hit by a walkie-talkie. Witnesses said the walkie-talkie was tossed by an official stationed at a police checkpoint.

How come we only here about these things AFTER the FACT and in a SENTENCE or TWO while the newspaper prints such crap all the time?

In recent weeks, there have been a number of high-profile taxi strikes across the country, some of which turned ugly. The protests, in Chongqing, Sanya and a small city in Gansu province, were prompted by low fares, rising costs and what many drivers contend is the collusion of corrupt officials and greedy fleet owners. The drivers, some of whom smashed cabs of colleagues who refused to join the strike, relented after government officials acceded to some of their demands.

Translation: Americans are the biggest s***-eaters in the world! If the docile Chinese are moved to activism, what is your excuse, America?

In Longnan, residents said the disturbances were provoked by economic distress, unchecked corruption and a lack of transparency by the local Communist Party.

America, HELLOOOOOOOO?

Officials have said the decision to abandon Longnan was based on the city's location in a seismically unstable area. The earthquake that devastated parts of Sichuan last May, they point out, claimed more than 300 lives in Gansu, which borders Sichuan to the north.  Some residents have questioned the rationale behind the move, saying that if the area is so dangerous, Longnan's 2.6 million people should be moved as well.

According to the local residents, some of the first people to protest on Monday were farmers awaiting compensation for land seized for municipal construction projects. Now that the government is leaving, the farmers said they feared they will never see the money.

As of last night, witnesses said smoke was still rising from the city center.  Armed police from the provincial capital were using tear gas to subdue the rioters, some of whom were tossing bricks and burning cars.  "People are furious, and now many farmers from surrounding villages and townships came to support them," a man who described himself as a retired government worker said in a telephone interview. "Though I used to work in the government, I'm for those people now."  --more--"

You know, sometimes I read these articles and I could swear the U.S. and Chinese governments are the same.

The sad fact is that the U.S. should have been in there long ago:

"China strengthens Cuba tie with trade deals" by Will Weissert, Associated Press  |  November 19, 2008

HAVANA - China's president was signing dozens of trade and investment deals with communist ally Cuba yesterday, part of a Latin American trip on which Chinese businessmen have been snapping up all manner of raw materials

The implication being -- unsaid, but there -- that the Chinese are honing in on OUR RESOURCES!! You know, how did our oil get under their sand type of thing.

Taking the long view at a time of financial crisis, China is investing heavily in commodity-producing countries, and Cuba is no exception. The deals agreed to by President Hu Jintao included purchases of Cuban nickel and sugar, along with pledges to send food and building materials to help the Caribbean nation recover from three major hurricanes.

Translation: China is a THREAT!

Other deals promise stronger ties in the future, such as a Chinese commitment to help renovate Cuba's aging ports, which are vital since Cuba receives virtually all its imports by sea.  Hu also thanked Cuba for sending doctors to China after last year's devastating earthquake, and for educational programs on the island attended by about 2,000 Chinese citizens....

Yeah. Hell, I'd take Cuba's medical system, too!!!  Only ones who care for 9/11 heroes fom what I saw in "Sicko."

****************

With bilateral trade topping $2.6 billion a year, China is Cuba's number-two trading partner after Venezuela, where socialist President Hugo Chávez provides nearly 100,000 barrels of oil a day to the island at favorable prices....

Yeah, he's also sending cheap oil up here for the winter. And WhereTF is my god-damn government?!!

Hu brought a large delegation of Chinese businessmen who have busily pursued deals despite the global financial crisis, continuing a trend that has seen China's trade with Latin America jump from $10 billion in 2000 to $103 billion last year. --more--"

Well, that's what happens when you are turning people away for ideological reasons: you LOSE OUT on the $$$$!!!!

Nice going, U.S.!

"China silent on bailout assistance" by Associated Press | November 17, 2008

BEIJING - China got what it wanted in Washington's financial summit - a promise of a bigger role for developing countries in global finance - but gave no sign yesterday whether it will respond by using any of its $1.9 trillion in reserves in a bailout fund.

Oh, THAT is what the GLOBALISTS wanted to get their grubby, grimy mitts into!!!

China has been pushing for developing countries generally - and itself specifically - to have more influence at the International Monetary Fund and other global bodies. Analysts say that might be Beijing's price to give in to foreign appeals to dip into its reserves and contribute money toward an IMF emergency loan fund for struggling countries.

I understand the Chinese position; however, that must be difficult for the Zionist/Globalist racists that devised the system: the yellow man with control of the table.

The Washington summit was an "important and positive" step toward "the reform of the international financial structure," foreign ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in a statement. It made no mention of possible bailout contributions, and a man who answered the phone at the ministry press office said he had no information.

Leaders from 21 nations, including China, and four international organizations attended the emergency two-day summit intended to address the financial crisis sweeping the globe....

So now we know (somewhat) what the conference was about.

China says it will cooperate with the IMF but Chinese officials say its most important role will be to preserve global growth by keeping its own economy healthy. Beijing announced a $586 billion stimulus package last week, at a time of slowing economic growth and fears that falling exports could lead to layoffs and factory closings.

Translation: the CHINESE TAKE CARE of THEIR PEOPLE and INTERESTS!!!!

"China's economic power is growing, so China could contribute and help ease the financial crisis," said Wu Jinglian, a prominent economist and cabinet adviser. "But the first priority is to keep our own economy growing. That will benefit every country in the world."

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has appealed to Beijing and oil-rich Middle Eastern governments to contribute to an IMF fund for emergency loans. Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso repeated that appeal in Washington and pledged $100 billion to the fund.

Brown is begging the Chinese and the Arabs to bailout the western financiers, huh? Then tell Israel to take a walk, Gordo!!!!

Other developing Asian economies came away from the Washington meeting with a promise of more financing that analysts said should help credit-starved exporters and calm markets from South Korea to India. The statement promised greater access to IMF lending for developing countries but gave no details on the size or possible conditions of lending.

"That will be extremely important if it can be done," said Michael Buchanan, chief Asia economist for Goldman Sachs.....

What, Goldman Sachs lining up for more loot?

The Bailout Bill America Should Have Gotten

Had to go to China to get it (sigh).

"China will spend $586b to help revive its economy" by David Barboza, New York Times News Service  |  November 10, 2008

SHANGHAI -  ....  At a time when major infrastructure projects are being put off around the world, China said it would spend an estimated $586 billion - roughly 7 percent of its gross domestic product - over the next two years to construct new railways, subways, and airports, and to rebuild communities devastated by a May earthquake in the southwest.

**********

The stimulus plan, though driven by domestic concerns, represents a fresh commitment by China to keep from adding to the economic and financial woes afflicting the United States and Europe. It will also probably cheer foreign investors in China's economy by ensuring that the country remains a source of growth.

Yup, and the globalist papers make sure you know that is the important thing day-after-day.

The Chinese package is not comparable to fiscal stimulus measures that are being discussed in Washington. In China, much of the capital for this type of spending comes not from central and local governments but from the coffers of state banks and state-owned companies that are encouraged to expand more rapidly.

That doesn't sound that much different.

The plan also differs from the $700 billion financial rescue package approved by Congress, which has helped strengthen bank balance sheets but did not directly mandate new lending or support specific investment projects in the United States.

That does!

Translation: The Chinese government isn't going to hand over billions to the same looters who stole the money to begin with without any strings -- unlike AmeriKa's "bailout."

So why did Congress tell us they got all these safeguards after they passed the bill against our will?  Why did Congress lie to the American people?

This means NO WAR with CHINA, right?  Right?

"Colleges scour China for top students; A star search that may affect US applicants" by Tracy Jan, Globe Staff  |  November 9, 2008

BEIJING - ....  Eager to cultivate generations of students in this new frontier, admissions officers from premier American universities are scouring China to recruit top high school students....  even promising full scholarships

Yeah, the only ones who can't get those are American kids.

"There are no quotas, no limits on the number of Chinese students we might take," William Fitzsimmons, Harvard's admissions dean, told a standing-room-only crowd of more than 300 students during a visit to Beijing No. 4 High School. "We know there are very good students from China not applying now. I hope to get them into the pool to compete."

That message is disconcerting for American students toiling to land a coveted spot in Harvard's 1,660-student freshman class - and controversial among some educators. But Fitzsimmons and others say they had better get used to the idea. Applications from China have exploded in recent years as the Communist country opens up to the world, and they're only going to increase.

Look, it is not like I want to hold the Chinese or anyone back; however, this shows you the globalist nature of the rulers right here.
They are interested in indoctrinating people who they can then send back as rulers or bureaucrats for their New World Order.

Even fifth-graders in Wellesley, Newton, and Brookline, who as adults will face international competition for jobs, should begin beefing up their academic résumés if they want a shot at an Ivy League education, Fitzsimmons said.  "We're trying to send a message to young people, as young as primary school, to make the most of their studies," he said, "because they'll be competing with students around the world later on."

Then how come our schools are being gutted and teach such s***?

The competition served as a vivid reminder of how the global economy is hitting college admissions, much like it's hitting US corporations.....   While he supports international admissions, Harry Lewis, a computer science professor, worries that Harvard is making it harder for American students to get in.  "There's a real tension here," said Lewis, former dean of Harvard College who sits on the admissions committee. "We get tax exemptions not so we can help build the economy of China, but so we can help contribute to the economy of the United States."  That being said, Lewis acknowledged that "we're not alarmed enough in this country about the lack of interest and motivation we're giving to math education here."

And on top of that, we teach them lies.  Did I mention I was a history major?

Am I bitter about it?  Yeah.  Costs me a lot of money for a worthless piece of paper.

The rest of the
article focuses on the Chinese and how great this is -- which is exactly what I would expect from an agenda-pushing War Daily.

Criticizing China

"China's 'action plan' on rights meets skepticism; Move called ploy, but some, seeing shift, voice hope" by John M. Glionna, Los Angeles Times | November 7, 2008

BEIJING - Facing international criticism over human rights abuses, China is preparing a national "action plan" on such issues as torture and freedom of speech, but critics yesterday were skeptical the move would bring much change.

After what the U.S. has done vis-a-vis torture, I'm really tired of the Zionist MSM bashing China over the head with the "human rights." Go tell it to the Palestinians, Zio-press!

Oh, yeah: U.S. Tortures for China

Pfffft

China has recently faced domestic pressure from politically oriented bloggers and a growing middle class to guarantee more human rights. Some said they hoped that President-elect Barack Obama would apply more pressure on China in regard to citizens' rights than has President Bush.

Seriously, how can such an authoritarian state face "domestic pressure" -- unless, ONCE AGAIN AmeriKa's racist, agenda-pushing, enemy-creating, Zionist MSM has LIED TO US!!!

Some activists worried that Beijing's promise for a new human rights strategy was promoted by the nation's information office, in charge of shaping public image, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an agency with little domestic clout. The state-run media have reported that the plan will include contributions from the courts, parliament and nongovernmental groups.

Hey, we have those here in AmeriKa!! They are called newspapers or news broadcasts!!!

"But the real issues that concern the world, including the torture of prisoners and free speech, are the domain of the police - the Ministry of Public Security - and they're not mentioned as being at the table," said Joshua Rosenzweig, Hong Kong research manager for the Dui Hua Foundation, a US-based human rights group. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has absolutely no authority over China's police. That doesn't inspire much confidence that real human rights issues will be addressed or dealt with." --more--"

How about turning that lens on USreal and THEIR TREATMENT of MUSLIMS, huh? And need I even comment on Rosenzweig (Jewish)?

That's why I hate western human rights groups!

(larger image, source with numerous maps on American-Israeli conquest of the Middle East)

....  U.S. is effectively under the control of the State of Israel for Zionist-Imperial expansionism in foreign policy. Sad, but true. And it will bring about the massive blowback yet to be seen that may determine the fate of America and Israel.

Iran will attack US fleets with the torrent of sea mines and sea & air-to-ground missiles. It will invade Iraq to slaughter US troops and proceed to State of Israel to behead the Zionist hardliners in retaliation for the destruction and havoc rained on Iranian sovereignty by foreign aggression

Russia and China, the major members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, will retaliate as well. They have assets at stake in Iran -- Russian nuclear scientists and engineers, Chinese's trade interest in oil to fuel PRC's expanding economy. Iran is an official observer of SCO.

SCO rejected USA's application for SCO observer status in 2005. What does that tell you? SCO founders and leaders read Project for the New American Century manifesto along with American Enterprise Institute, Council on Foreign Relations and The Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies' "A Clean Break" the latter authored by Zionist neocon Richard Perle....

RUSSIA today won support from China and Central Asian states in its standoff with the West over the Georgia conflict as the European Union said it was weighing sanctions against Moscow.

A Chinese Miracle

"China's Tallest Building Catches Fire, Does Not Collapse; World Financial Center in Shanghai miraculously defies physics" by Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Wednesday, August 15, 2007

"Shanghai's World Financial Center, the tallest building in China upon completion, defied all known physics yesterday afternoon when it caught fire but did not collapse, a modern day miracle in light of the commonly accepted premise that since 9/11, all steel buildings that suffer limited fire damage implode within two hours.

Anyone who has visited Shanghai's Pudong district will note that the World Financial building eerily resembles the twin towers in New York that were destroyed on 9/11, which is why the sight of it catching fire yesterday would have led many to immediately fear the imminent collapse of the structure.

"According to an eyewitness, the building caught fire around 4:35 p.m., and floors above the 40th floor were shrouded with dark smoke. The fire was fierce, burning debris fell from the building. Many people fled the building in panic," reports Epoch Times.

"According to Mr. Deng, a local resident, floors above the 30th floor were engulfed in thick layers of smoke, while the top of the building was also smoking." Officials put the time of the outbreak of the fire at 4pm and said that was extinguished by about 6pm. The south tower of the WTC burned for just 56 minutes before collapsing, while the north tower lasted around an hour and 45 minutes. According to the official transcripts of the firefighter tapes, fires in both towers were almost out immediately before the collapses.

The video was purportedly made by the Turkistan Islamic Party, which seeks independence for China's western Xinjiang region, the SITE Intelligence Group said. The militants are believed to be based in Pakistan, where security experts say core members have received training from al-Qaida.

"S. Koreans fire water cannons at Bush protesters

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Police fired water cannons at thousands of protesters Tuesday as President Bush got a volatile reception in South Korea at the start of his three-nation Asian trip....

Bush said he speaks candidly with Chinese President Hu Jintao about human rights, but he skirted a question about a pre-Olympics security drive by Chinese authorities.

"They're hypersensitive to a potential terrorist attack," Bush said in the article for Tuesday's editions of the paper. "And my hope is, of course, that as they have their security in place, that they're mindful of the spirit of the Games, and that if there is a provocation, they handle it in a responsible way without violence."

Four days before the Olympics, two men rammed a truck into a group of policemen and tossed explosives into their barracks today. The Xinhua News Agency called it a "suspected terrorist attack....

Xinhua said that Xinjiang's police department earlier received intelligence reports about possible terrorist attacks between Aug. 1 and 8 by the East Turkistan Islamic Movement. The movement is the name of a group that China and the U.S. say is a terrorist organization, but Chinese authorities often use the label for a broad number of violent separatist groups."

"Bush visit invokes politics into the Olympic Games" by Ben Feller, Associated Press  |  August 3, 2008

WASHINGTON - Yet politics have intruded in Olympics past, from Cold War boycotts to terrorism, and host China is right at the intersection of debates over human rights, security and trade. Even the Olympic torch relay fell victim to protests in Europe and the United States.

Bush told reporters last week his talks with China's president, Hu Jintao, have become comfortable, candid, and meaningful. He says he can push Hu privately about the need to expand individual freedoms, something he will do so again on this trip. Bush will also attend a church service in Beijing and speak about the importance of religious freedom.

"Pride mixes with worry at being misunderstood" by Patricia Wen, Globe Staff  |  August 3, 2008

BEIJING - It would be easy to depreciate these comments as parroting the sentiments of China's ruling Communist Party and its government-controlled press, which regularly describes the Middle Kingdom as under attack by outsiders ignorant of Chinese history. Yet in the Tuan Jie Hu neighborhood, residents sounded like anything but pawns. Many people freely voiced criticisms of the government, including how the city's rapid development has raised rents and created frustrating traffic jams. The nation's environmental problem - which has even affected the lake in the Tuan Jie Hu park - was raised repeatedly as a crisis issue....

The Dalai Lama has been on the CIA payroll since the late 1950s. He is an instrument of US intelligence.

An understanding of this longstanding relationship to the CIA is essential, particuarly in the light of recent events. In all likelihood US intelligence was behind the protest movement, organized to occur a few months prior to the Beijing Olympic games.
